Biography

Dr. Deji Ogundiya completed his dental school training at the University of Lagos, Nigeria, in 1977. He also received his fellowship in oral and maxillofacial surgery from Harvard University School of Dental Medicine in Boston, Mass., in 1985. He completed his training at the Massachusetts General Hospital in 1985.  He later received another dental degree from the Meharry Medical College School of Dentistry in Nashville, Tenn.

While in Boston, he trained in the various aspects of oral and maxillofacial surgery and cranial facial surgery. He was assistant professor of oral and maxillofacial surgery at Meharry Medical College School of Dentistry until 1996. After this, he decided to open his first private practice in Nashville in 1996.

The practice is limited to oral and maxillofacial surgery and includes reconstructive surgery, placement of dental implants, TMJ treatment, removal of impacted teeth and jaw surgery.

He performs most of his procedures while patients are under IV sedation in the office.

His interests include traveling, deep sea fishing and soccer.
